Kuwait Specialized Hospital warns of imminent shutdown in Gaza

The Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah, Gaza, has warned that it may be forced to shut down within a week due to severe shortages of medicine, medical supplies, and food.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza, has warned that it may be forced to cease operations as its remaining medical supplies are expected to last only one more week.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the hospital cautioned against the imminent collapse of Gaza’s healthcare system due to severe shortages of medicine, medical supplies, and food.

“The situation has worsened due to the continued closure of border crossings and the disruption of humanitarian aid deliveries,” the hospital stated.

It further revealed that more than 75 percent of essential medications are unavailable, significantly hampering its ability to treat patients. “The current medical stocks may not last more than one week,” the statement added.

The hospital appealed to international humanitarian organizations to take immediate action and prevent a looming health and medical disaster in Gaza.
